President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was just sworn into office again in his native Uganda, amid fanfare.Even Nigeria's Goodluck Jonathan was there.
Museveni has been ruling the country since 1986,a mere 25 years! Even Museveni himself is no baby.At just 67,surely he would stay a lot more years to take Uganda to the promised land(that must be a far place,if 25 years isn't enough to get there).
African leaders are mere clowns,at best.Only in Africa would a leader stay that long.We could argue as long as things are being handled well by them, age isn't a big deal. But then the likes of Hosni Mubarak of Egypt,Ben Ali of Tunisia,Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, and Laureant Gbagbo are bad examples.
As Museveni celebrates his re-swearing in,let us pause and wonder how bad it might be with the young generation.
