Failure, they say,has no brother.Indeed, nothing could explain this further than the situation out-going Imo state governor Ikedi Ohakim finds himself.
In a little less than a week since he lost to Owelle Rochas Okorocha,he has suffered every form of rejection.Chief among them is the way he was treated in his hometown in Ehime Mbano.About 50 youths in his community insisted he would never enter the church in their community.Afterall,he never did a thing for them all through his four-year reign.Amazing! For a man who became governor by default,by Orji Kalu's PPA and PDP's agreement,a lot was expected. He had a chance to be a hero.He spurned it.
The lessons to be learnt are numerous.Ohakim must have learnt them, but I fear he would never have the chance to make up for his failures.
Meanwhile,chain-wearing out-going Oyo state governor Adebayo Alao-Akala was accused by his own commissioner for threat to his life! Astonishing! Failure indeed has no companion!
