Current and newly re-elected Governor of Niger State,Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu fears nobody. He says things the way he sees them, not minding whose ox is gored. He once admitted Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, from a different party, was unbeatable.Recently,he said what myself and every reasonable Nigerian feels is spot on.
Having confirmed his victory, the bulgy-eyed chief executive took a swipe at Gen Muhammadu Buhari of CPC.He reminded the desperate retired general Nigeria was not his village, and that he won in his village never meant he won in Nigeria.
Aliyu couldn't have been farther from the truth.
The desperate general, strangely a talkative lately, responded by calling Aliyu ''disrespectful to elders'' and said he wasn't ''fit to handle any leadership position in Nigeria''.
Well, let me give him one or two 'facts', a la Rafa Benitez.First,Aliyu is in a leadership position and Buhari isn't.Aliyu was never disrespectful. He just spoke the truth.Buhari just didn't want to accept the truth.
I must admit I have lost a bit of admiration I had for Buhari, after his people killed and maimed innocent citizens.Let him go back and face his family.Nigeria would NEVER want him.Never!
