Revolution In South-East

In spite of INEC chairman,Attahiru Jega's double postponement of the National Assembly elections, there still exists palpable fear among those who have done nothing of note, yet want to be re-elected.We had expected the elections to give an idea where the fate of those who want to be governors lie,but it was 'dabarooed'(apologies to one of my lecturers).
All the same, from what we have heard, the sitting governors have every reason to fear.In states like Imo and Abia,APGA is waxing strong. While PDP might have respite in Enugu as a result of Sullivan Chime's performance, the same cannot be said about Ebonyi.Anambra still cannot let APGA go.
It all makes for exciting finale in this election.Let the will of God,through that of man,be done.Away with people who have nothing to offer!Let the revolution start!

Sweet Revenge!

Revenge could be so sweet, especially when unexpected.I watched in awe and shock, but nonetheless in excitement,as Schalke 04 got every penny of revenge on Inter Milan for what the latter did to my beloved Bayern Munich.Brotherhood is sweet. No wonder Schalke did everything to ensure the culprits Samuel Eto'o,Wesley Shneider and Goran Pandev never went close to their net.
I had earlier, out of painful resignation but hopeless secret expectation, tipped Schalke to be battered by their more illustrious opponents.Thankfully,my prediction was wrong.(Hei,don't kill me yet,at least I got the other result between Madrid and Tottenham spot on)
Schalke outplayed Inter in every department, and even the biggest risk-taking gambler would never tip Inter to recover.Okay for me.At least,my beloved Germany would match on while Italy goes!
In the light of this,I hope one more prediction I made would go wrong.I earlier tipped Chelsea to topple Manchester United.I hope to be wrong again!

Ferguson: The Fearsome Legend

Rafa Benitez knows this too well. The only evil you would do yourself is say a single bad word against Sir Alex Ferguson.Ever since he read his 'facts',now known as 'Rafa's Rant',he has led Liverpool to their worst position in recent times, destroyed the team in confusion, sulked to Inter Milan where he replaced his adversory Jose 'the special one' Mourinho, and finally got himself fired in less than six months. All for challenging the knight, who feels, rightly or wrongly, that only his opinion matters.
I must have run out of superlatives to qualify this legend, but then this is just a reminder.Sir Alex rules.Chelsea beware!

How Shakira Incensed Rivalry In Spain

First,Pique's form on the pitch dipped.Whether he was always thinking of his new 'love' on the pitch,we never knew.
Recently, however, her affair with Pique went a new level, albeit, indirectly.Real Madrid, bitter rivals to Barcelona, stopped the use of her tracks during football matches at the Bernabeu(their pitch). Why?She is a girlfriend to their 'enemy' of course.Ever since, analysts have had a field day. They have something new to talk about.
Personally,I like things like this.Football rivalry makes the game more entertaining, competitive and hostile, which is nice.
But Shakira has shown the powers of a woman...well,may be!

Jega And His Drama

Now we can see how it is.When Maurice Iwu was the chairman,he got lots of criticisms, even on what he did right. Now,Jega knows that it is never easy to please millions of people.
The postponement might be a blessing in disguise, and could after all be the best thing in such circumstance.President Goodluck Jonathan corroborated this view when he opined that it was better to delay in order to achieve success.Well,we are waiting. If at the end of the day,the election becomes a success, then it would have been worth the delay!

Anambra Central- Heart on Ngige,Mind On Akunyili

Annie Okonkwo, the incumbent, now of Accord, would be wondering,'if only they didn't come out'. Prof Dora Akunyili of APGA would be thinking,'if only he later didn't come out'. Chris Ngige of the ACN would be feeling,'if only I came out earlier'.As for Chudi Ofodile of PDP,I guess he would be asking,'how did it get this bad in PDP?'
No matter how these heavyweights feel, however bad,one person must emerge victorious. While the people feel Akunyili would represent them well, they have this emotional attachment to Ngige. This all leaves Okonkwo and Ofodile nowhere.
Akunyili, with her federal might would have been coasting to victory, even before the election.Well,Ngige didn't want it so.Even though he started his campaign late,he is gathering heavy crowd.Whenever he moves on the road, people run round for broomsticks to wave on him.And everybody feels he would win.Where then does it leave Akunyili?
As long as people don't get sentimental towards Ngige, then she would be the winner.Even the best political analyst cannot predict the winner. No wonder I'm faltering!

Kaduna - Yakowa All The Way

Not that he isn't aware, but governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna state knows he is almost there. It makes it all better after the court ruled against his PDP opponent Alhaji Othman Suleiman Hunkuyi just yesterday.Indeed,Yakowa knows only one person can stop him,and that is himself.
A definition of humility,Yakowa has consolidated on his predecessor,Namadi Sambo's achievements. While his opposition has tried to blackmail him with fake nude pictures, they have also accused him of favouring Kagoma,a minority tribe he hails from.He hasn't,but even if he does,we shouldn't castigate him.Everyone could do same.I,for one, would vote for him.
As he takes over, all we ask for is continued humility and putting the right pe
ople,as he always does,around him.For once,I
