When the National Assembly elections were postponed last Saturday,everyone,including myself,vilified the INEC chairman,Alhaji Attahiru Jega for bad planning and waste of resources.People even suggested Maurice Iwu,his predecessor,did better than him as an INEC leader.Results of the latest elections have proved them,and indeed myself,wrong.
I went on a lecture in Awka this weekend,and decided to check out how the elections were going.Very free!
Dimeji Bankole,the speaker of the House of Representative,who lost the election even commended the voting process.
This is a new Nigeria,or so it seems,devoid of malpractices of the past.It's still early times,but the signs are good.
